I've seen some great night shots lately, so while in town yesterday evening i couldn't resist having a go. I had to rest the camera on a wall, but after a few attempts, i left happy with this one. A few double decker buses went by, hence the lights higher up.
ps: Exposure on this should show 10sec, thanks again for all the comments
i hate not having anything more constructive to say, but i really like the light here! worth hanging in the living room, i'd say. :) michael @ Saturday 22 October 2005
Very cool! I really like seeing this effect and you've captured it nicely.. Ian @ Saturday 22 October 2005
The buses have really added to the shot. And I like the colors, many night shots get too "red". ROB @ Saturday 22 October 2005
There's so many things I like about this photo... The criss-crossing lines, the lights, the colours... Good shot! Derrick @ Saturday 22 October 2005
Very well shot image here - love the energy from all the criss-crossing lines. Youve done well to keep the background well exposed while catching the trails. ChrisK @ Saturday 22 October 2005
captain chaos,
i got here after your comment on my site. this picture is really nice - pretty much what i had in mind recently when i shot my own take (but it didn't turn out this good :)). i also like the portraits of your kids a lot. best of luck to you! ervin @ Saturday 22 October 2005
superb shot, the geometry created by the lights really adds to the composition. Neil @ Saturday 22 October 2005
Excellent shot Chuks. The traffic's lights add so much more to this shot that might have been a standard night street scene. I love the weird ghostly reflection of lights mid-right. It surprises me it's only a 1 second shot, when stopped right down to f29. CurlyToes @ Saturday 22 October 2005
This is a great shot. Im finding it hard finding the words. The fact that the lines go right to the top of the picture make it very special.
Really Top Class! Phil @ Saturday 22 October 2005
